The beauty of this piece lies in the imperfection of the symmetry, like a reflection in a rippling lake. The subtle difference of each shade makes you pay attention to the details and look closely.
This acrylic painting on paper is painted “wet-in-wet” where I start by applying water onto the page with my sponge brush, and then add a layer of diluted paint, which I let dry. I repeat this process several times, letting each layer dry completely.
This small piece would look great in a grouping with other artwork, or you could lean it onto a bookshelf to style with some beautiful objects. On its own it is very well suited for an area where you have a small amount of wall space that you would like to jazz up with some fabulous art.
Pair it with my artwork Decode.
