A silhouette of beans, spun together, are seemingly floating mid-air. They contrast the soft gradient background of monochrome Payne's Grey.
The first layers of this acrylic painting on paper are “wet-in-wet” where I start by applying water onto the page with my sponge brush, and then add layers of diluted paint, which I let dry. I repeat this process a few times before I add layers of paint directly onto the dry painting.
This small piece would look great in a grouping with other artwork, or you could lean it onto a bookshelf to style with some beautiful objects. On its own it is very well suited for an area where you have a small amount of wall space that you would like to jazz up with some fabulous art.
Pair it with my artworks Floating Pebbles, Through the Looking Glass and Hilltop Factory.
